We are currently open to the public:
Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Thursday: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
🚗 DROP-OFF SERVICE
Our drop-off service remains available for customers who prefer to leave their containers and pick up payment later. See Drop Hours below!

We're excited to introduce a new appointment-based redemption option designed for customers who:
• Don't want to wait in line
• Need their redemption money the same day
• Can't make it during our regular public hours
• Prefer a faster, more convenient experience

Drop-off service will also be available during public hours on Tuesday and Thursday, as well as during the following drop-off only hours:

🔹 Saturday: 7 AM – 12 PM
During drop-off hours, customers may use the overhead door. Please see below for full drop-off policies and procedures.
If you are needing to pick up money from a drop-off and cannot make it during our Tuesday or Thursday public hours, please call or message us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

At Making Cents, our mission is to provide a clean, efficient, and respectful environment for the redemption of recyclable beverage containers. We are committed to supporting Iowa’s Bottle Bill by helping reduce waste, promote sustainability, and encourage community participation in environmental stewardship. Through exceptional customer service and responsible recycling practices, we strive to make a positive impact on our local environment, economy, and the quality of life for all Iowans.
We take our policies very seriously. Failure to follow any of the below rules may result in us asking you to leave and come back when all the standards are met. We have the right to refuse any customer.
Our walk-in service, also known as "public" service, is designed for customers redeeming 500 containers or fewer. This is our most commonly used service.

Drop-Off Times:
You can drop off on Tuesday and Thursday during business hours or Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's between 6am-2pm and Saturday between 7am-12pm. If these hours don't work for you please call for an appointment and we will try and accommodate you.
An employee will be available to assist you and answer any questions.
Once complete, you will receive a yellow copy of the slip — do not lose it! This is required to collect your payment.
